AIGA Chicago is a non-profit design organization aiming to serve and empower the design community.
Visually, AIGA Chicago functions like a house of brands. AIGA Chicago has its own branding, but each event needs a unique look and feel. When crafting identities for each event, I needed to consider the tone, the community goals of the event, the target audience, and if this event would stand alone, or be repeated.
Below are a handful of the events I branded, throughout my time as president of AIGA Chicago.
AIGA Chicago's annual paper show aims to bring best-in-class print and paper products to the design community. This event includes VIP elements and other add-ons, so its look is polished, professional, and luxe.
Ask + Give is a monthly community event where creatives of all disciplines and experience levels get together to ask advice on current hurdles they face and give advice and support. The event aims to be accessible and welcoming, which is reflected in its visual brand.
Design Discourse is an educational lecture series aimed at mid to senior-level creative professionals. The goal is to spark interest but remain contemporary, which is seen in the use of color palette, type and photographic treatment.
